Job Description: As an Independent Manufacturer's Representative, you will be responsible for promoting and selling our products to customers within your assigned territory. The ideal candidate should possess a strong knowledge of traffic safety regulations, including MASH (Manual for Assessing Safety Hardware), and other relevant specifications. Additionally, proficiency in value-add selling techniques is essential for success in this role. Multiple territories are available, allowing you to leverage your existing network and build new relationships to achieve sales targets. Responsibilities: • Develop and execute a strategic sales plan to achieve and exceed sales targets within your assigned territory. • Identify and prospect new customers, including government agencies, contractors, and distributors, within the traffic safety industry. • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers, ensuring their needs are met and identifying opportunities for upselling and cross-selling. • Demonstrate a deep understanding of traffic safety regulations, including MASH and other pertinent specifications, to effectively communicate the value of our products. • Provide product demonstrations and technical support to customers, showcasing the features and benefits of our product offerings. • Collaborate with internal teams, including sales and marketing, to develop sales strategies, promotional materials, and customer-specific solutions. • Stay up to date with industry trends, market developments, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and address potential challenges. • Attend industry trade shows, conferences, and networking events to expand your professional network and promote our products. • Submit accurate sales forecasts, reports, and other administrative tasks in a timely manner. Qualifications: • Previous experience as an Independent Manufacturer's Representative in the traffic safety industry is strongly preferred. • In-depth knowledge of traffic safety regulations, including MASH and other pertinent specifications. • Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets, with a strong focus on value-add selling. • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish trust with customers. • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and manage multiple territories simultaneously. • Strong negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to identify and address customer objections effectively. • Proficient in using CRM software and other sales tools to manage leads, track activities, and generate reports. • Availability for consistent travel within the assigned territory and to attend industry events. • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
